Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information OKOMUSE (the "App") handles and how. We designed the App so that your music library and your accounts stay on your device.

Last updated October 14, 2026

Information We Do Not Collect

OKOMUSE does not require an account, and we do not ask for your name, email address, or phone number. We do not operate servers that store your music, playlists, bookmarks, or listening history.

Data Stored on Your Device

  • Library and settings: your library index, playlists, bookmarks, playback position, equalizer presets, and app settings are stored locally in the App.
  • Cloud account access: if you connect a cloud storage service (for example Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, Box, or a WebDAV server), the access tokens or credentials needed to reach your files are stored in the iOS Keychain on your device.
  • Offline copies: tracks you download for offline playback are stored in the App's storage on your device. Removing the App deletes them.

You can delete any of this data at any time: remove a download, delete a playlist or bookmark, disconnect a cloud account in the App, or uninstall the App.

Connecting to Third-Party Services

When you connect a cloud storage service, the App communicates directly with that service to list, stream, and download your files. We do not receive this traffic. The handling of your data by those services is governed by their own privacy policies.

Wi-Fi Import

The optional Wi-Fi import feature runs a temporary server on your device that is reachable only from your local network. Files you choose to upload from a computer on the same network are received and stored on your device. No data is sent to us or to any third party through this feature.

Device Music Library

If you allow access to your device music library, the App reads your library so you can play and import your songs. This access is used only on your device.

Analytics and Crash Reporting

The App uses the following Google Firebase services:

  • Firebase Analytics, to understand how the App is used and to improve it.
  • Firebase Crashlytics, to collect crash reports and diagnostic information so we can fix issues.

These services may collect technical information such as device model, operating system version, App version, language and region, anonymous usage events, and crash logs. We use it only to improve stability, performance, and the user experience. Firebase processes this information under Google's privacy practices.

Purchases

Subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple through the App Store. We receive confirmation of your subscription status from Apple, but we do not receive your payment details. See Apple's privacy policy for how Apple handles payment information.

Data Sharing and Sale

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers. The only third parties that receive information from the App are the Firebase services described above and Apple for purchases.

Children

OKOMUSE is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your Choices

  • Revoke the App's access to your music library or local network in iOS Settings.
  • Uninstall the App to remove all data stored on your device.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
